Truckee offers a beautiful mountain forest setting, and a friendly small-town vibe. This workshop is perfect for getting close to the action in a low-pressure environment. We’ll shoot three times across two days, providing a lot of opportunity in a short period of time..
The Process
Shoot. Review. Submit. Critique. Repeat.
There is no magic wand, but there are magic circumstances in which to learn. Across two days, we will shoot three times. Meet other photographers who share your passion and commitment in a situation dedicated to learning how to make the best pictures you can make.
Daily critiques provide an opportunity to improve day-by-day, accelerating learning and correcting mistakes in real time.
The Critique Videos
After the workshop, students submit a representative sample of their pictures. I provide a hour-long video critique breaking down each picture and talking about next steps. Taken together, these critique videos bring home the lessons, and are a great resource for all of the students because you never know how the “A-HA!” moment will appear.
